Before operating this product, please ensure that you have read and understood all safety precautions and operating procedures. Strictly follow the following operating guidelines to ensure safe and correct use of the equipment:
Additionally, processing highly reflective materials is prohibited, as it can cause irreversible damage to the machine. Adhering to these guidelines helps ensure the safe and effective use of the equipment.

Note:
- Before powering on, carefully check whether there is any shipping damage to the CO2 tube (as shown in the red circle in Figure 1). If no damage is found, fill the water tank to the maximum level, then turn on the power and start the machine. Observe whether the CO2 tube is being filled with water normally. Once the operation is normal, refill the water tank to the maximum level again.
- The water tank must be filled with purified water or distilled water. If the operating environment temperature is below 5°C, non-corrosive antifreeze must be added to the water tank. The mixing ratio is as follows:
| Minimum Operating Temperature | Ratio |
|---|---|
| -42℃~-45℃ | 6:4 (60% antifreeze, 40% water) |
| -32℃~-35℃ | 5:5 (50% antifreeze, 50% water) |
| -22℃~-25℃ | 4:6 (40% antifreeze, 60% water) |
| -12℃~-15℃ | 3:7 (30% antifreeze, 70% water) |
| 0℃~-5℃ | 2:8 (20% antifreeze, 80% water) |

Note: When using AtomStack Studio software, no additional settings are required to connect. When using LightBurn, set the baud rate to 460800 (see Figure 2). Alternatively, you can directly import the LightBurn configuration file included on the supplied USB drive. Refer to the LightBurn configuration file import video for instructions.

Figure 2
Refer to the Hurricane focus adjustment video or manual.
Note:
- Hurricane can perform auto focus by pressing the physical auto focus button on the machine housing, by clicking the AF button in AtomStack Studio software (see Figure 3), or by entering [ESP500] in the code console of the LightBurn software (see Figure 4). Manual focusing can also be performed using the focusing piece.

Figure 3

Figure 4
- If the auto-focus distance is not 8mm (see Figure 5), you can adjust the distance by modifying the code in LightBurn or LaserGRBL software. The default auto-focus parameter value is 1.5. The correction value is calculated as 1.5 ± the error value:
- If the actual measured value is greater than 8mm, the correction value is calculated as: 1.5 - (actual measured value - 8).
- If the actual measured value is less than 8mm, the correction value is calculated as: 1.5 + (8 - actual measured value).
- In LightBurn, enter the following in the Console: $autoFocus/depth_max_mm = correction value (1.5 ± error value), then execute it. Example: if the actual auto-focus distance is 9mm, the correction value will be 1.5 - 1 = 0.5 (see Figure 6).

Note:
- When using the camera, absolute coordinates must be used (see Figure 7):

Figure 7
- Calibration is required before use, and must be performed again if the material thickness changes.
- During camera calibration, ensure the inside of the enclosure is well-lit so the camera can clearly capture the working area.
- The camera and conveyor feeder cannot be used at the same time.
- When calibrating in LightBurn, you can zoom in on the view before marking the four positioning points with the mouse. This can improve accuracy (see Figure 8).

Note:
- The Hurricane conveyor feeder is equipped with an automatic recognition function. Connect the supplied USB cable to use it (see Figure 9).

Figure 9
- Absolute coordinates (Absolute Coords) cannot be used when using the conveyor feeder.
- When using the conveyor feeder, the engraving area changes to 500mm x 800mm.
- The AtomStack conveyor feeder model is R7.
- When using the conveyor feeder, the H3 riser (the machine base riser shown in the video) must be used.
Refer to the Hurricane rotary attachment application video or manual.

Note:
- The Hurricane rotary attachments are equipped with an automatic recognition function. Connect the supplied USB cable to use them (see Figure 10). The models include R6 (see Figure 11), R8 (see Figure 12), and R8 Pro.

Figure 10

Figure 11

Figure 12
- Absolute coordinates (Absolute Coords) cannot be used when operating the rotary attachments (see Figure 13).

Figure 13
- When using the rotary attachments, the H3 riser must be used (see Figure 14).

Figure 14
- When using AtomStack Studio software, for the roller (R6), no parameter settings are required. For the chuck (R8), the object's circumference or diameter must be set (see Figure 15).

Figure 15
- When using LightBurn software, rotation settings are required: select the rotation type (R6 → Roller type, R8 → Chuck type), select the Y-axis as the rotation axis. Parameters to set: R8 rotation speed = 160mm/rev (fixed), enter either object diameter or circumference; R6 rotation speed = 50mm/rev (fixed), rotation diameter = 16mm (fixed), enter either object diameter or circumference. See Figure 16.

Note:
- The user needs to provide their own water tank for the fire extinguisher. Connect it to the active fire extinguishing water inlet at the back of the housing using the supplied hose, such as the "7" port indicated on the panel.
- The active fire extinguishing function must be turned on, as shown in Figure 18.

Figure 18

Note:
- Begin optical path calibration by verifying the second mirror first, then the third mirror, and finally the focusing assembly, as shown in Figure 19.

Figure 19
- When moving up, down, left, or right, ensure that the red light spot does not shift significantly.
- The deviation between the red light spot on the material surface and the laser spot should be ≤2mm to be within the normal range.
- When adjusting the second mirror, the third mirror needs to be moved from left to right.
- When adjusting the third mirror, loosen one screw to adjust the angle, then tighten the screw after the adjustment is completed.
- After the optical path is properly adjusted, remove any tools used for the adjustment (e.g., mirrors as shown in Figure 20) to avoid burning the tools.
