The panel layout is shown in the diagram below, or refer to the user manual.
See the P1 installation video or the user manual.
Note:
- Software options: AtomStack Studio and LightBurn are recommended.
- Baud rate setting: No baud rate configuration is needed when using AtomStack Studio. When using LightBurn, you'll need to change the baud rate to 460800, or import the configuration file (included on the supplied USB drive).

Focus rod focusing method
Note:
- L-shaped thumb screw: The laser module is secured with an L-shaped thumb screw, making focus adjustment quick and convenient. Note that if the thumb screw handle is blocked by the linear guide rail, you can pull the handle outward and rotate it to a different position.

See the P1 app connection tutorial video or the user manual.
Note:
- USB drive requirement: A USB drive must be inserted before controlling P1 via the app.
- Network pairing: If connecting in Bluetooth mode, you'll need to follow the pairing steps to connect the engraver to your network — see the tutorial video.
- Material library: The AtomStack app has a rich library of materials you can download and use. If the downloaded file's engraving result isn't ideal — if it engraves too deep, reduce power or increase speed; if too faint, increase power or reduce speed.
See the P1 laser module replacement tutorial video.
Note:
- Focusing method: The laser module comes with a focus rod, so no focusing card is needed to adjust focus.
- Mounting method: The laser module is secured with an L-shaped thumb screw, making replacement quick and convenient. If the thumb screw handle is blocked by the linear guide rail, simply pull the handle outward and rotate it to resolve the issue.
- Infrared laser warm-up: When using the infrared laser module, if the temperature is too low, the module will automatically warm up before starting to engrave, taking about 2–10 seconds.

See the P1 rotary attachment usage tutorial video (R6 / R8).
Note:
- Choosing a rotary attachment: P1 only supports the R6, R8, and R8 Pro rotary attachments with auto-recognition. Connect the supplied auto-recognition cable (USB connectors on both ends) to P1's accessory port, and the rotary attachment will be automatically detected — no step-length changes needed.
- Raised feet: When purchasing a rotary attachment, note that if the model you buy doesn't come with raised feet included, you'll need to purchase the H5 raised feet separately.

Note:
- AtomStack software configuration: When using AtomStack Studio, the roller (R6) requires no parameter changes; the chuck (R8) requires entering the material's circumference or diameter.

AtomStack Studio rotary parameter settings
Note:
- LightBurn configuration: When using LightBurn, you'll need to configure the rotary parameters:
- Rotary type: select Roller for R6, Chuck for R8
- Rotary axis: select Y-axis
- R8 (chuck) speed: 160mm per revolution (fixed value) — enter either the material's diameter or circumference
- R6 (roller) speed: 50mm per revolution (fixed value), roller diameter 16mm (fixed value) — enter either the material's diameter or circumference

Note:
- Base plate removal: When using a rotary attachment, the base plate must be removed (note: rotate the base plate's latch clockwise), then install the raised feet.

Note:
- Mirroring: If the engraving appears mirrored, toggle the mirror function on or off in the software:
- AtomStack Studio: configure as shown
- LightBurn: configure as shown

See the P1 laser focus adjustment tutorial video.
Note:
- Focusing steps: Loosen the L-shaped thumb screw securing the laser module, lower the focus rod on the laser module until its tip touches the material to be engraved, then re-tighten the L-shaped thumb screw and retract the focus rod.
- Actual focal distance: The distance from the laser module to the material is 30mm.
- Thumb screw adjustment: Note that if the thumb screw handle is blocked by the linear guide rail, you can pull the L-shaped thumb screw handle outward and rotate it to a different position to resolve the issue.
